Set in a quiet area of Chellaston in Derby, Chestnut View Care Home is a comfortable and welcoming family run care home which provides residential and respite care. Although we specialise in Dementia (including Alzheimer’s), we also provide care for those with learning disability, physical disabilities, mental health issues and those over 65.
The home is on the south side of Derby and can be reached easily from Junction 24 and the East Midlands Airport. We are very friendly home with a very experienced team of staff who provide excellent individually tailored care and support.
We have single and shared vacant rooms at present although their availability is on first come first serve bases.
We also run an incentive scheme where applicable. We will give £500 to any person who brings in a successful referral to us.

We have all the facilities to provide person centered care. We acknowledge that each person is an individual with unique experiences and background. We will add to or change any existing facility to provide the person centered care for that individual..
The care home was inspected in June 2014. We did not get a good report. We have put a lot of resources into bringing the Chestnut View above the statutory requirement since then. We are waiting for CQC to reinspect the home and give us positive report.
Since the CQC inspection, Derby City Council have visited us and have said that we have done all the work identified by the CQC inspection report.
